Recently I attended a Feng Shui conference where the host (considered to be a Grand Master) was asked why compass degrees change. His response was that he didn’t know and wasn’t sure why we should care.

I was shocked!

Authentic Feng Shui needs compass readings to calculate a building’s energy blueprint (which affects the analysis and resulting implementation plan), it is important to stay abreast of changes.

In other words, a compass reading now may not be the same next year, in years past, or in the future. It’s also important to reiterate that true North is based on latitude and longitude (also known as GPS or Global Positioning System).

Planes, boats, and our mobile phones use GPS. Why should you care?

Because if you go on a hike (as an example) and lose your mobile phone signal and then have to switch to a magnetic compass, you’re unlikely to end up in the place you intended!

Read more about that here. In that article, there’s also information about pole shifts.

New information is available on this and delves into the impact of climate change on polar shifts.

Researchers have been able to determine the causes of polar drifts starting from 2002 based on data from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE), a joint mission by NASA and the German Aerospace Center, launched with twin satellites that year and a follow-up mission in 2018.

The mission gathered information on how mass is distributed around the planet by measuring uneven changes in gravity at different points. For the full article, visit this link.

I find this totally relevant and fascinating and hope you do too. I suggest you confirm your compass reading(s) for today’s environment.

If I can be of service, please let me know.

Happy exploring!
