If you have been treated by an acupuncturist or energy worker (such as a Reiki practitioner), you are aware of meridians in the body.

Meridians channel the flow of energy and can become blocked or stagnant. When this happens, it can result in health consequences.

The same is true of Mother Earth.

Blocked meridians can cause geopathic stress. Geo means of the earth. Pathic implies the path it takes, and in this case, means our reaction to the earth (how we experience it or its effects). With my background in disaster recovery and business continuity, let me explain geopathic stress another way.

The earth’s crust is constantly shifting. You’re aware that an earthquake with a Richter scale reading of four or higher can cause buildings and roads to crumble and crack. An earthquake with a Richter of seven or more can affect the earth’s axis. When an earthquake happens, there can be aftershocks that continue to disrupt the land. Also, when an earthquake happens, there is a reverberation that takes place elsewhere (such as surrounding areas or even in faraway lands). Therefore, the earth’s crust is constantly shifting and changing. As it does, it releases energy.

When people and animals are on or near the release of geopathic stress, there are effects. A few examples of this: It can cause agitation leading to abuse; disrupt sleep; affect learning disabilities and hyperactivity; impact fertility, childbirth, and miscarriage; increase fatigue and allergies; and it has been shown that in divorce – one or both people have been exposed to geopathic stress. Intrigued?

Studies have shown that over 85% of patients who die from cancer have experienced regular exposure to geopathic stress. Ernst Hartmann, MD, wrote that “Cancer is a disease of location triggered off by geopathic stress. We all produce cancerous cells on a regular basis, but they are continuously destroyed by our body’s immune system. Geopathic stress does not cause cancer, but weakens our immune system.”

A few accomplished German and Austrian researchers (in the field of water veins, aka earth radiation) collaborated with supervising physicians and others to document and study the accuracy of observed correlations between disease (particularly cancer) and geopathic-stress influences from earth radiation (such as Käthe Bachler). An official confirmation and endorsement were published in 1985 by Dr. Veronika Carstens, MD (wife of former German Federal President Karl Carstens).

Dr. Carstens authored a study stating that there were 700 cases documented worldwide where terminal cancer patients had regained their health without any conventional treatment after their sleeping area had been moved from a geopathic stress zone. In all cases, physicians thought they had exhausted efforts to help the patient’s cancer. Here’s a great resource for science papers (search on earth acupuncture, earth radiation, etc.).

That is where being included on a wellness team, I work with physicians to improve patient outcomes. Whereas the patient goes to the doctor, I go to the patient’s home and evaluate their living (and in some cases, also their working) environment. Dozens of patients have achieved remission!

Even construction and traumatic events (such as war, accidents, deforestation, violence, and even cutting down a single tree) can cause geopathic stress. When the earth has been abused or disturbed (and remediation efforts haven’t been performed to restore balance), our bodies can absorb resulting negative energy causing health problems and mental disturbances.

In other countries, construction won’t proceed until the earth has been checked for geopathic stress. One person (MD, geomancer, and teacher) said that in the United Kingdom (UK) no self-respecting builder would proceed without this assessment. The definition of geomancy is geo – the study of earth, and mancy – the study of lines.

Speaking of the UK, geomancers are certified by the equivalent of our Core of Engineers – it is that important. Here in the US, if there’s a place to build … we build. Geopathic stress isn’t in our building consciousness. Thus why I coined the phrase, manage your energy consciously or unconsciously it manages you.© Even LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design) does not take into account geopathic stress; so we can have a LEED building set upon sick land. Sick land makes sick buildings, and sick buildings make sick people. Make sense?

It is noteworthy to mention that negative energy attracts negative energy. In many cases, points of geopathic stress attract negative creatures (undesirable rodents, hornets, aggressive ants, etc.) and entities, so if you mitigated these undesirables with pest control or otherwise, and they’ve returned … you may have geopathic stress.

So what is one to do? The title of this article is Earth Acupuncture & Health. Allow me to explain earth acupuncture. I utilize dowsing rods to diagnose energies emitting from the ground. During this process, points are identified that show where the earth is under stress, or (in many cases) where a vein of stress (or negative energy) is passing through the land. Please know that I’m a member of the American Society of Dowsers.

Using the same theme of an acupuncturist, just as they insert needles into the body along meridians to balance the body’s energy (or life force, which restores health), I insert rebar (metal rods) into the earth to mitigate stress points – thus earth acupuncture. When the rods are inserted, it releases the stress and heals the land. In addition, since this stress built up in the first place, by leaving the rods in the ground, it continues to manage the negative energy.

In one case, I worked with a physician and his family. They moved into a house and contracted many health issues. Earth acupuncture was performed.

Later, a tornado touched down in the lot behind them; but when it reached where we started the earth acupuncture process, the tornado jumped over their property, landed on the other side, and continued its path of destruction.

Earth acupuncture has been performed on many properties, and people (developers, building owners, homeowners, and even visitors) have felt immediate relief. The effects have been described as decreased agitation, better sleep, improved medical conditions, healthier relationships, better teamwork, and the list goes on.
