This case study is an ideal way to learn how Feng Shui affects the success of a wellness facility or clinic. We will discuss:
· How Feng Shui supports a site
· How it energizes the building
· How it support physicians, practitioners and staff
· How it affects patients and the healing process
· Ultimately, how it improves business and mitigates risk (i.e., business continuity and even medical errors)
Diana Garber, an internationally renowned Feng Shui Master, and her company, Intuitive Concepts, will take attendees through the process of how she evaluates all the above points. She’ll explain the methodology of how Feng Shui can play an integral part of the success, struggle, or even failure of a medical center. Classic Feng Shui is more than just creating a harmonious environment; it is measurable and quantifiable!
This case study reveals a journey. The owner left an existing practice to forge his own. He had purchased a building and had plans drawn up before hearing Garber speak at a national medical convention; which resulted in a commercial consultation on the yet-to-be-built-out place of business. Feng Shui affected the entire design/build process.
After analyzing the land, parking lot, building, and family practice team, Diana suggested the design change because she recognized the proposed redesign wouldn’t create the type of results the physician wanted for his practice and new offerings he wanted to take on.

As the CEO and owner of Intuitive Concepts, Feng Shui Master, Diana Garber enjoys working with commercial clients to help them achieve success in their businesses.
Although she works with various industries, she finds it especially rewarding to use her Feng Shui expertise to assist medical practitioners and their patients.

Did you know there are buildings that support learning and healing, and those that don’t? Were you aware the same applies to individual rooms (i.e., labs and classrooms)? In addition, the arrangement of a room can support its occupants (student, patients, and instructors) or cause them be agitated, guarded, or even zone out.
There are actions that can be taken to promote focus, productivity, creativity, and even wellness. Feng Shui harnesses unseen energy and redirects it in a knowledgeable way. By using Feng Shui (light, color, texture, shapes, placement, etc.) benefits unfold.
We’ll discuss research that demonstrates our reaction to the environment. We will experience positive impacts by changing rooms to encourage collaboration and participation. We’ll also delve into yearly trends that affect students’ learning styles and teachers’ reactions.
This workshop is co-presented with Workforce Development Innovation Center at Central Ohio Technical College. Here is the flyer.

My Dad is My Hero
The world has many heroes who have won a world of fame
Heroes who have given their all to win in life's great game
But of all the famous heroes that our changing world has had
There's not a one I look up to or admire more than my Dad.
To me, my Dad's a hero though he'd turn away from praise
He's heroic in his quiet strength and his gentle, giving ways
He may not make the headlines, you won't see him on TV
But I think my Dad is everything a hero ought to be.
He always keeps his promises on that I can depend
He's loyal to me, no matter what and he'll always be my friend
So when I think of heroes and the greatest things that they've done
I feel the way that I've always felt --- my Dad's the greatest one.
Miss you Dad, Sis (his nickname for me)
This has been a monumental year for Royer Realty. We celebrated our silver (25th) anniversary, I continue to be the #1 realtor in Logan County, and we hired Intuitive Concepts to help with the next 25.
I am very happy with the Feng Shui/energy changes that Diana made for the building and in our offices. We will surpass our 2013 goals this month -- and it's only August!
I am working with her on my new house, and am excited to see results there too.
This month I’d like to share what’s transpiring in my world. Talk about needing to be creative! Didn’t I mentioned 2015 being a year of change?
Well, stuff happens even to the Feng Shui Lady, and I’m a three (hard wood) in a three year so knew it was going to be challenging…but, goodness!
There are some big transformational projects in process:
So what went kaboom? It wasn't July 4th's fireworks, it was Ronda's two-weeks notice. Chaos generates creativity, so even though this month’s theme was developed a year ago…it is unfolding before my eyes. Funny how that happens, isn’t it? Ronda takes care of back-office flow so that I can concentrate on consulting and strategic efforts. Still, she has a great reason to leave rather than bad reason to go, so it’s all good.
It was on a TEDtalk event that Ruth Chang talked about hard choices, and the more difficult it is to choose, the more profound the choice. This was a difficult decision for Ronda, and we both cried; and her choices are profound. For me, it’s the universe’s way of saying, “stop Diana, are you driving or being driven?” This is yet another chance to turn a challenge into an opportunity.
How can one person get all this done? One step, one day at a time. My life has been a series of breakdowns to breakthroughs, so this is another one. TEDxColumbus’ theme this fall is disruption, and timely enough not only as discussed in my video on 2015; but from Wall Street to Main Street to my kitchen table…disruption. It means change, and change is a constant.I choose to be an agent of change (and not a victim of it). Change management, risk management, Feng Shui ... different names, same principles.
It will be a while before I search for staff. Still if you (or someone you know) is looking for an amazing journey, this is a close description (paid but no health insurance).
The public image portion of this month’s theme comes into play regarding workshops. That is one area that I can cut back, so some classes will be postponed to next year. If you have a favorite that you’d like on 2016’s schedule, let me know. I’m also going to cut back on press releases.
This month’s workshop is all about creativity and social interactions. “Feng Shui for learning centers, labs, and classrooms” is being hosted by Workforce Development Innovation Center at Central Ohio Technical College. Participants thus far include professors, deans, facilities managers, and teachers. This is an experiential workshop, meaning we’ll tour from room to room and discuss Feng Shui for each space. It’s free but registration is required to ensure we don’t exceed occupancy (and have enough handouts). You can sign up through Monday, July 13.
And one of my favorite classes, “Myers-Briggs® Type Indicator” is July 23rd. This is likely the last MBTI workshop Intuitive Concepts offers this year, and it is being held at OSU. Talk about creativity, public image, and social interactions … MBTI is a marvelous tool. I hope you signed up because reservations closed July 6.
Last, don’t forget about this month’s special … career strategy session. What do you want to do when you grow up?
May you be exceedingly, generously, and joyfully blessed, ~Diana
