Congratulations are in order for Border Energy, a client of ours since 2011 when we Feng Shui'd their office condo. By the end of the year their business grew to the point their staff doubled, so their office condo no longer met their needs. Is this a problem you'd like to have? Their success led to a newly Feng Shui designed office building.
Border Energy just sold to IGS Energy but former Border Energy management is keeping the office building, which now will be the home of Steve's next adventure. See his 2012 letter of recommendation regarding his home and business. Please join me in expressing congratulations!

I received a lot of feedback regarding my trend comments in April’s monthly energy, “Nine represents fire and explosions. In a 5 year, it could bring about fires and volcanic eruptions.”
Allow me to state for the record – I’d rather be wrong about these things. It is not satisfying when events have ill impacts for Mother Earth or her inhabitants. Loving thoughts to Boston and affected families, those in the path of the California fires, those impacted by bombings in the Middle East; and all of us affected by this energy.
We coined a phrase, “manage your environment consciously, or it unconsciously manages you,”©. We’re here for you. May you be exceedingly, generously, and joyfully blessed,© Diana
Who would have connected personal training with Feng Shui? It was a revelation for me, even when I think that everything relates to Feng Shui. I’m physically a wimp and have never worked out in my life, so allow me to set the stage.
As a child, my sweat glands weren’t developed, so any exertion produced hives. That was not only uncomfortable, it was embarrassing. Also, we grew up with very modest means. My brother’s bikes were made of pieces and parts that Dad welded together. Mom was of the belief that girls shouldn’t ride bikes if they intended to be a true blushing bride on their wedding night. Then there was a trail of health issues and surgeries. I’ve had lots of reasons not to exercise.
Today, I’m in my 60s. What are my excuses now? I’m too busy taking care of others. The additional cost isn’t feasible. I’m too old to start an exercise regime... the list goes on. Then I met Ashleigh.
Ashleigh is an instructor at Otterbein College and an athletic coach for Westerville Schools. She was teaching a course at Otterbein on integrative medicine and asked me to speak with her class. After attending the talk, her Mom (Roni Quint) hired me to Feng Shui her home (her testimony is on our website). Then Ashleigh and Andy hired me to Feng Shui theirs. During the consult, Andy suggested we do their business.
Andy Katzenmoyer (former NFL player), John Quint (Ashleigh’s brother), and Ashleigh own a personal-training business. Andy and John (former skeptics) agreed with Ashleigh that we should Feng Shui the facility, so we met at L.I.F.T. (Life Improvement Functional Training).
My reasons to exercise suddenly had more weight (no pun intended) than my excuses not to. It’s the right time, right place, right people, and right circumstance. Oh, new excuses continue to reveal themselves, such as: 1) Someone I know will see me struggle (or worse yet, see me in work-out clothes); and, 2) what if I can’t follow through with their routine? We all have those undermining voices, don’t we? What I’ve come to realize is that when we’re looking for an excuse not to do something, we’ll find it. Following the advice I give to clients, I dismissed the fear and chose abundance (instead of I can, I will do this).
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I thought there would be a quick assessment of my capabilities (or lack of them), a tour, and they’d check on me as I used the equipment (commenting when I did something wrong). I thought it was likely similar to what our potential clients anticipate. It’s only the actual experience that changes their perspective. As an example, a recent client hired several previous Feng Shui consultants who all suggested mirrors, coins, crystals, and Asian symbols to correct problem areas. Following our session, she commented at being ‘blown away’ at how detailed, in-depth, and on-point our approach was. We actually analyze the energy, then recommend an action plan that complements their tastes and style.
L.I.F.T. and Feng Shui have goals in common: Empowerment, improving life, and wellness (to name a few). We also have similar processes. They use a detailed and lengthy assessment on an individual. We use a detailed and lengthy assessment of buildings’ and people’s energies. Instead of cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach -- everything is specific and customized.
Ashleigh did my body assessment and John led my balance and structural evaluation. They have a team approach with clients just like we do. I find it comforting that the entire staff knows my results and how to help me. The total process took a couple of hours.
John and I chatted about what we were doing and why. During one of the balance exercises, my right foot pulled the ball to the side. John explained that meant my left side is weaker. This complemented the yin/yang concept of Feng Shui. I explained that left is yin (feminine) and right is yang (male); and my body was confirming my personal yang score of six and yin score of two, and the influence my Dad had on me growing up.
When John and I finished the balance and structural evaluation, Ashleigh explained the results of my body-fat assessment. Yes, it’s one of those face-the-fear-and-do-it-anyway moments. Beyond the obvious, she coached me on regimes to follow and supplements that will help. Again, not having a frame of reference on how personal training works, I later checked with friends and clients who work out. They confirmed L.I.F.T. is thorough and quite a little treasure.
I never thought I’d be a person in the work-out crowd. This time there were too many signs too ignore that now is the time; a knowledgeable and caring staff, a business committed to excellence, an environment that supports its clients.
In today’s world of instant gratification, people are looking for the fast and easy – the silver bullet. I coach my clients about that and want to lead by example. There’s a commitment to this undertaking, and I feel supported at L.I.F.T. Especially in today’s economy, people are stressed about loosing their jobs and homes. This is a way to be proactive and productive, again … just like Feng Shui.
There are many correlations to draw upon regarding Feng Shui and personal training, including it’s the journey not a destination.
Please join us Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 1-4:00 for the grand reopening of Body Wisdom Healing Group, LLC. The event will be held at 2999 Indianola Avenue, Columbus, OH 43202.
Lark Witt, the owner of Body Wisdom Healing Group, and I met at Bank One. She offered chair massages during lunch time at the Polaris location, of which many of us benefited from.
Then after attending the Feng Shui for Business workshop at Hina Environmental Solutions, Lark decided to utilize classic Feng Shui for Body Wisdom Healing Group. She said that while she's not a fan of most office spaces, she liked what we did at Hina's 995a Safin Road site and it was certainly a place she could work in.
Body Wisdom Healing Group and I embarked on the original Feng Shui journey in March 2015. It was a challenging consult as the building's construction-history date was difficult to nail down. The first set of calculations didn't match her experience of the space, so before we proceeded Lark investigated further. When she obtained the correct date and we redid the formulas, everything fell into place. It's well worth the time and effort to do it right the first time as there isn't anything cookie-cutter about authentic Feng Shui.
One of her goals of utilizing Feng Shui was to expand not only the space but services they offer. Even though the building was fully occupied, we implemented the Feng Shui plan and set intentions for the occupants next door to find their next best home. Goal achieved! The occupants ended their lease early so we started on the expansion and renovation plan in May 2016.
Now in addition to their core massage offerings, they will offer yoga, pilates, wellness classes, and wellness consulting including Ayurveda. For a full list of services, visit their website. CitySearch review said they offer the best massage in Columbus! See you there where I'll conduct tours to explain what we did to maximize Feng Shui.
Intuitive Concepts’ theme for the 2015 is “It’s All About You.” We chose this theme as a special tribute to our clients, customers, and fan base because you are the most important people to us.
Therefore, each month we share information, tips, and testimonials that will benefit you, and offer suggestions on how to remedy challenges that may be coming your way.
Since Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology are based on monthly shifts, each month we share Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology facts that affect your life, your business, and your home. Our focus for June is “Energy, Vitality, and Wellness for You and Your Family.” As you review this June newsletter, we recommend that you use all of the information we offer to ensure that you have a more empowered life.
June’s Monthly Perspective: June is the last month in the second quarter of the year which means there are benefits and cautionary advice that we want to share with you.
You: There are positive aspects that can benefit you this month, but, there are also negative ones so be vigilant. Feng Shui wise, the energy will be challenging for certain individuals. If you are a metal element person (6, 7) you might want to consider a personal strategy session and/or a personal report. Don't know what your energy number is? Follow this link to find out more for free!
Family: This is a good time to think about relationships … who do you need to attract in order to feel more supported? Who is in your life that challenges you, and how can you make the best of it? Our personal relationship strategy session can help. Also, one of my favorite relationship resources is Myers-Briggs® Type Indicator. Don’t miss out on this fantastic workshop!
Health Wise: We’ve already mentioned the brain. We have a new resource for you – self hypnosis. Also, Feng Shui refers to the energy that flows within us, our businesses, and homes and the land surrounding these structures. Just because we can’t see the flow of energy does not mean that we aren’t being affected by it.
Your health should be one of your foremost areas of concern and Intuitive Concepts offers services that can assist you. We often work on wellness teams and results have even included remission!
Business Wise: This is a fortuitous time for new beginnings so if you are considering a job change, a secondary income, or a new perspective for your existing career, this would be a good month to consider your options and a perfect time to schedule a personal Feng Shui career strategy session. What would you learn in your session? The type of career that would be ideal for you and what it takes to make that change.
June is a great month to recognize your employees and to thank your customers. What you do this month for your staff and clients will benefit you through the rest of the year.
Weather Wise: Get out your umbrellas and rains coats because storm clouds lie ahead. Be prepared for the wind and thunder which is part of the Feng Shui weather forecast for June.
The Feng Shui Tool Box: We felt that in order to assist you in having a wonderful year at home and in your career, we’ll offer tools to help you on your life’s journey. Everyone knows that a toolbox is essential when building or restoring any building. Well, the same applies to the care and maintenance of your life. Every one of our clients receives a personalized tool box!
Have questions? Ask away. Enjoy the month of June!
Please note: Information about August 2014 will only be available for one month.
On 8/7/14, we begin the 7th month of the Chinese calendar cycle. The flying star that arrives is 2 (Mother Earth) in a 4 (soft wood) year. This 2:4 combination can bring about sexual entanglements, disharmony, and mother/daughter in-law problems. Health wise, stress and digestion are factors. My advice? This 4 year implies the vamp anyway and combined with this month’s energy – seek emotional freedom. What I mean by that is avoid jealousy. It robs relationships of possibility. Instead, keep positive communication flowing and know you are enough.
When the 4 monthly flying star arrives, it places the 5 star in the NW. Five can represent breakdown when it comes to timing and construction. This breakdown in the NW can affect the eldest male albeit head of household, Dad, or Grandpa. To read more about August 2014's energy, follow this link.
Also, here are some tips to help with August's energy. You'll want to make note of the super moon on Sunday, August 10. It can have some interesting effects on Mother Earth and all of us.
May you be exceedingly, generously, and joyfully blessed, (c) ~Diana
